Kettering’s middle order made all the difference in their Group A home clash with Oundle as big wins from James Noble and Richard Grove (six holes) and Nick Elmore and Mike Askew (five holes) helped overcome an early deficit to triumph 12-8.
Collingtree Park are the team to catch in Group B after significant victories from Iain Tait and Joe Johnson (five holes), Dick Underwood and Sam McGimpsey (six holes) and David Aldcroft and Clint Cooke (eight holes) earned a 20-3 success at Daventry.
Kingsthorpe did just enough to secure their first win of the campaign as they completed a 9-7 home victory against Staverton Park, who were chasing a second away success after beating Cold Ashby a week earlier.
Away wins remain few and far between in Group D after Delapre Park came unstuck at Overstone Park going down by the scoreline 10-7.
The result rarely looked in doubt once Phil Gardener and Tony White (five holes) and Dan Fowkes and David Makepeace (two holes) took the opening couple of ties, but the visitors battled hard with Dale Walker and Liam Davies grabbing the last game by six holes.
