Wellingborough qualified for the semi-finals in thrilling fashion as they defeated overnight Group A pacesetters Staverton Park 5-2 at home.
With Staverton only needing to win three ties to secure top spot on points difference, the visitors got off to the perfect start as Sue O’Hagan (5&4) and Denise Aitchison (7&5) took the first couple of games.
The hosts didn’t panic as Liz Waine (3&2) and Liz Rees (3&1) levelled the match score, before Susan Sharp strolled in with a 6&4 victory under her belt.
Jackie Banks secured another Wellingborough point by winning the 18th hole against Sharon Jones, before Bina Shah confirmed a stunning team success by beating Tracy Lane down the last.
Wellingborough will now play Northants County in the last four, while the other semi-final sees Oundle take on defending champions Whittlebury Park.
