Charley Hull was the highest placed English golfer in the opening professional major of the year as she finished in a tie for 12th place in the Ana Inspirational at Rancho Mirage GC in California.
The Kettering golfer shot an opening round of 72, moved into contention with a three-under-par 69, before carding 74 on day three.
Needing a very low score in the final round to have any chance of glory, Hull’s bold approach led to seven birdies, but also five dropped shots, as she finished with a 70.
