Faldo Series success for Pyke

Overstone Park teenager Baylie Pyke sealed the biggest victory in her fledgling career as she won the Girls Under-21s competition in the Faldo Series England South event at Brocket Hall GC.

The 17-year-old led from start to finish in the prestigious tournament as she carded two scores of 77, before adding a closing round of 81 to claim a five stroke success.

Pyke, who will be going to college in the USA in late summer, can also now look forward to competing against all the other regional and international winners in the Grand Final in early November at Al Ain GC in United Arab Emirates.

With the worldwide Faldo Series into its 26th year, previous Grand Finalists include top professionals Rory McIlroy, Tyrrell Hatton, Danny Willet and Mel Reid.
