BCCS National Junior Team KO Final

Peterborough Milton’s Junior team clinched their third national title in the last two years by defeating York by three holes in the BCCS Junior Team KO Final at Staverton Park GC on Sunday.

Despite giving away several strokes to their high-handicap opponents, the Milton pairings of Charlie Pearce and Jacob Williams in the opening tie and Euan Herson and Kai Raymond in the other game produced a string of birdies.

Pearce and Williams picked up shots on the 14th and 15th holes to ensure their match finished all square, before Herson and Raymond secured the team success when they birdied the 12th, eagled the 15th and then safely parred the next to confirm victory.

Peterborough, who claimed the Junior Team Golf Home Nations and England Trophies in 2021-2022, progressed through to the final by edging past Childwall in a thrilling last four contest, which went to the final putt on the final green, the previous day.
