British Boys Amateur Championships

Robin Williams saw his hopes of winning the British Boys Amateur Championships come to an end in round two as he lost to Scotland’s Aidan O’Hagan in Northern Ireland.
The Peterborough Milton member will take consolation from qualifying for the knockout stages as the number one seed after he posted a level-par 71 at Royal Portrush GC to add to his three-under-par 69 at nearby Portstewart GC.
Although Williams, who was a semi-finalists 12 months ago, comfortably beat Archie Davies in the first matchplay round, he couldn’t match the form of O’Hagan, who progressed with a 3&2 victory.
Fellow county golfers Charlie Salter and Luis Witherall both missed the cut.
