Overstone Park

Back-to-back birdies on the 14th and 15th holes helped Colin White claim a countback victory in the Overstone Park November White Tee Stableford as he beat Josh Dowling and Dan Fowkes with 41 points.

Countback was also required in the Ladies Autumn Trophy 24 hours later as Shirley Morton got the better of Kerry Hambleton with 38 points.

Forty five points was a superb winning score in the second round of the Rushden Winter League as Ben Bright found his very best form in the Sunday competition. Nigel Scanlon and Philip Woolley had both carded 42 the previous day.

Anand Aggarwal was successful in the November Mixed Stableford as a tally of 38 points lifted him three ahead of Owen Roberts.

Countback was needed for the second week in a row in the Priors Hall Winter League as Tam McGurn got the better of Andrew Ewing, who eagled the first hole, and Les Mahon with an 11-hole score of 28 points.

Michael Greasley also bagged 28 points in the second round of the Seniors Winter Eclectic to win by two from Anthony Cornwell and Alan West.

Pat Briggs, Julie Beavan and Pat Dawson combined to shoot the leading score of 54 points in the Ladies Hidden Team Stableford at Wellingborough. Linda Simpson’s team finished one point behind in the runners-up spot.
