Wellingborough

Sheena Markham, Claire Guest and Carole Cornforth were the trio to catch at the top of the leaderboard in the Wellingborough ‘Even Holes County Double’ Team Am-Am as they posted the best total of 83 points.

Ladies Captain Miriam Johnson, Jane Sisman and Liz Palmer finished runners-up on countback from Helen Marriott, Ellie Farrington and Christina Palmer on 77.

Overstone Park

Anthony Richardson kept the big numbers off his scorecard in the Seniors Yellow Tee Stableford as he completed a countback victory.

The 16-handicapper edged out Peter Thorpe thanks to a slightly better back nine after they both finished one point ahead of David Blackadder (39).

Priors Hall

James Allison is the player in form at the start of 2023 after recording two podium finishes in separate 11-hole competitions in the space of a week at Priors Hall.

After carding 23 points to finish runner-up behind Stephen Etheridge in the third round of the Seniors Winter Eclectic, Allison joined forces with Jason Ford to win the opening Winter League Doubles competition as the pair beat Colin Sawers and Paddy McLean on countback with 27 points.

Rushden

Malcolm Kendall Snr’s team were successful in the Pairs Betterball competition at Rushden as a score of 42 points secured a narrow victory from two pairings.
