Countback was required in week two of the Winter League Doubles at Priors Hall after three pairings came in with the leading 11-hole tally of 27 points.

Martin Newman and Steven Tiley gained the verdict from runners-up Gavin Harding and Gavin Symington, with Stephen McCabe and Liam Carr having to settle for third.

Stephen Reeds was successful in the fourth round of the Seniors Winter Eclectic a few days earlier as his score of 25 points lifted him two clear of Gerry Cummins.

Overstone Park

Sebastian Lenton-Leaver’s strong finish proved vital in the Overstone Park February Midweek Medal as he claimed victory with a round of net 68.

The 25-handicapper carded a gross birdie two on the 17th hole and followed it up with a par down the last to edge a single stroke ahead of James Petitt.

Rushden

Forty three points was Asa Hauser’s magnificent winning score in the fourth round of the Winter League at Rushden as he nudged one ahead of the chasing pack in the weekend competition.

Steve Kempson carded 42 points in the Saturday Stableford, while Daniel Freeman matched that total 24 hours later as they finished joint runners-up.

Wellingborough

Lema Townsend, June Smith and Christina Palmer were the three divisional winners of the Ladies Stableford at Wellingborough.
