Teenager Josh Bodimeade showed glimpses of his talent as he compiled a brilliant round of net 62 to clinch first place in the Overstone Park March Medal.
Bodimeade, who played a round of golf with European Challenge Tour professional Ryan Evans last month, finished one stroke ahead of County Men’s First Team Manager Brian Mapley. The Ladies March Medal went to Gill Hodgson (71).
Countback was required in the Seniors Texas Scramble at Priors Hall after two teams came in with an excellent winning total of net 61.
Ian Hunter, Michael Sawford, Jim Collins and Graeme Thomson gained the verdict from the team of James Allison, Martin Newman, Kevin Bullimore and Robert Goodall.
A single point was the margin of victory in the March Stableford a few days later as Tom O’Donnell (38) grabbed first position from Andrew Mullin, Dany Reid and Reece Kirk.
The Reverse Waltz Team Competition at Rushden was won with a score of 93 points by Scott West’s quartet as they finished two ahead of the line-up led by Paul Hofman.
