Whittlebury Park

Three gross pars and five bogeys over the last nine holes at Whittlebury Park were decisive for Shaun Parker in the February Stableford as the high-handicapper defeated Nicholas Wheeler and Karl Hills on countback with 40 points.

Tracey Heavey (19) won the ladies nine-hole competition by two from Danielle Edwards, while husband Phil Heavey was also successful in the 9 O’Clock Club Competition a few days later as an excellent total of 42 points confirmed top spot.

Hellidon Lakes

Philip Gray led the way in the 13th round of the Tigers Winter Merit League at Hellidon Lakes as his tally of 35 points was one more than Tom Patterson could manage.

Scoring was just as tricky in the February Stableford a few days earlier as Max Welsh secured first position by one from fellow high-handicapper Marc Greenshield after bagging 34 points.

Staverton Park

Tony Pernyes claimed two podium finishes in Seniors Winter Series Nine-hole Second Division Stablefords in the space of three days as he grabbed second behind Ken James in the Tuesday event before winning on Thursday with 21 points.

Tom Langhorn (22) and Gordon Russell (20) were successful in the respective Seniors Winter Series Nine-hole First Division competitions on the same days.
