Steve Boom and Neil Picton defeated John English and new Kingsthorpe Club skipper Andy Trott on countback in the Canadian Foursomes with 41 points.
Trott’s Captain’s Drive-In competition went to Mark Parry, Andy Knight, Kev Purkis and Anton Clarke (96 points) from Russ Beadsmore, Darren Smith, Ian Grainger and Pete Cawley (93).
A superb score of 46 points earlier in the month secured top spot in the sixth round of the Winter League as Frank McKenzie and Phil Dudley nudged one in front of Mark Dabell and Tony Martin.

Tim McCreadie bagged 38 points in Staverton Park’s January Seniors Stableford to grab a narrow win from Mike Kingswood and Robin Brown.
The latest two Seniors Winter Series Nine-hole events were claimed with totals of 18 points as Richard Franklin triumphed by one from Martin Merritt over the front nine and Peter Groves gained a countback verdict from Tom Langhorn on the inward stretch.

The 13th round of the Hellidon Lakes Winter Merit League proved ‘lucky’ for 13-handicapper Bob Thomson as he earned a four-point victory from Richard Corbett and Thomas Haydon (both 36).
David Bevan was only marginally less impressive in the next round as his tally of 38 points secured top spot from Roy Trim (36).

Arthur Johnson’s better finish in a round of 40 points made the difference in the seventh Seniors Winter Stableford event at Collingtree Park as he beat high-handicapper John Coker on countback. Bob Ross (39) took third prize.
