Four players compiled the lowest net round of 70 in the Staverton Park Men’s January Medal as Craig Cotterill, Michael Franklin, Brian McGinley and Neil Stevenson wasted no time in finding their form at the start of 2019.
In the latest Seniors Winter Series events, Michael Kingswood shot the best front nine score of 20 points in round 10, while Chris Conway edged out Patrick Evans on countback over the inward stretch with 19.

At Collingtree Park, a single point was the difference between first and second positions in the fourth Seniors Winter Stableford as Milton Marsh (44) grabbed a narrow success from Don Parker. Geoff Pook finished third on 41.

Martin Northover’s brilliant back nine helped him clinch first position in the January Medal at Farthingstone as the 22-handicapper came in with a magnificent total of 46 points.
Gross birdies on the 11th and 16th holes, plus three pars over the inward stretch, lifted Northover five clear of Anthony McCormack, with David Summerfield third on 40.

Daniel Haynes led the scoring in the fourth Winter Medal at Daventry as a net 66 earned him a two stroke victory from Tim Scull.

Round 10 of the Winter League at Hellidon Lakes went to Bob Thomson (37) by one and two points respectively from Roy Trim and David Bevan.
