MENA Tour

Peterborough Milton member Robin Williams won the biggest tournament of his fledging career as he stormed to an eight-shot victory in the sixth event on the MENA Tour at Ayla GC in Jordan.
Competing against professionals and amateurs, the 18-year-old was in devastating form in the middle east as he took the lead with an opening score of 68, before extending his advantage to five hot with a second round 66.
Williams, who competed in the Junior Ryder Cup last year, showed no signs of letting up on the final day as he birdied the last five holes in another six-under-par 66 to finish well clear of fellow amateur Jack Floydd.
Although the teenager was unable to pocket the prize money, he will take comfort from beating a strong field as well as moving to the top of the MENA Amateur Order of Merit after competing in just one tournament.
Wellingborough professional Kyson Lloyd finished in 27th place after bouncing back from a poor opening round of 80, by carding 11 birdies in two competitive scores of 69 and 70.
