Kettering B progressed through to the semi-finals as they recorded their third Group C victory in three outings with a 3-1 home success against Northampton A.
After bagging wins at Northants County A and at home to Northampton B, the hosts completed a perfect qualifying campaign, thanks to points from Ed Keech, Ben Atherton and James Attwood. Northampton’s point came from Elliot Strickland.
Peterborough Milton C took a big stride towards qualifying for the semi-finals as they made it two wins in two matches in Group A with a 3-1 success at Overstone Park.
Although Cameron Reeves took the first point for Overstone on the 14th hole, Milton seized control thanks to an excellent 6&5 win from James Martin and two 3&1 victories from Shivani Karthikeyan and Oscar Bell.
Northampton B’s hopes of making the last four suffered a blow as they could only draw 2-2 at home with Rushden in Group B.
The hosts couldn’t fully recover from Max Faulkner’s 4&3 loss in the opening tie and another defeat in game three.
Points from Ben Lavender and Lara Auld salvaged a draw but Northampton will probably need to beat unbeaten leaders Peterborough Milton B at home and away this month to progress.
