Young Chelsey remains Sharp in early season

County Girls team member Chelsey Sharp’s excellent start to the season continues after she grabbed second place in the girls 18-hole competition on the Robert Rock Junior Golf Tour at Rutland Water GC.
After winning a Peterborough Milton Junior Stableford on New Year’s Eve and finishing runner-up in a Peterborough Milton Junior Medal earlier this month, the 11-year-old went into her latest competition on the back of two handicap cuts.
It didn’t seem to affect the youngster as she carded a net 77 in mixed weather conditions to claim second on countback. Kettering club-mate Gracie Murray was 10th, while Oscar Bell (Peterborough) finished 15th in the boys competition.
