County men’s team get-together

Sixteen present and prospective County men’s golfers braved the wet and bitterly cold conditions to take part in a nine-hole competition get-together on Saturday, November 9th at Overstone Park GC.
With England international Callum Farr and PGA Professional and former County player Mikey Chambers taking part in the team building exercise, golfers from Cold Ashby, Collingtree, Farthingstone, Kettering, Kingsthorpe, Northampton, Northants County and Overstone Park were in attendance.
Fraser Carnihan, who has joined Lee Hitchcock as first team captain for 2020, are looking to assess the personnel for the new season, alongside new second team captains Ryan Genner and Taylor Sargent.
Carnihan, who shared the top prize with Chambers after carding 19 points apiece, said: “It was a superb turnout considering the weather as the squad all contributed to a planning and bonding session after the golf.
“A big thank you to John Gilding and Gary Hardy, the Managers of the two County Teams for next season. They braved the conditions and watched all the players until the bitter end.
“More planning and bonding sessions are being planned for the winter months to ensure that the teams will be fully prepared for the start of the competitive season from April 2020.
“As the County Captains, we need all golfers with handicaps of five or less who are interested in playing for their County to contact us at Fraser.Carnihan@pcs-systems.com with their handicap and full details.”
