English Champion Club

Northants County finished third out of 31 teams in the English Champion Club Tournament as Callum Farr, Corey Neville and Charlie Salter showed their skills at Romford GC.
The trio finished on 426, one stroke behind Essex, with Northumberland a further five shots clear in first place.
Two eagles and nine birdies were on the combined scorecard of Callum Farr in the 36-hole event as rounds of 65 and 69 meant he finished runner-up in the individual category, just one behind Arron Edwards-Hill (Essex).
Farr went into the event in confident mood after joining forces with County club-mate Ben Jones to help England win the Home Internationals with wins against Wales (12-3), hosts Ireland (10-5) and Scotland (9-6).
Jones collected four points out of six during the three games at Lahinch GC, while Farr remained unbeaten as he won one match and halved three others.
