European Tour

Ryan Evans will need to go to Q School early next month in Spain to secure full playing rights for a second successive year on the European Tour after finishing 149th on the 2018 standings.
Needing to grab first or second in the Andalucia Valderrama Masters to move into the top 110 in the rankings, the Wellingborough pro gave himself hope when he made the cut with scores of 72 and 69.
With the tournament cut to three rounds due to the adverse weather conditions, Evans was unable to find the birdie streak required on the last day to surge up the leaderboard as a round of 74 left him in 42nd spot.
The second stage of Q School is scheduled at Desert Springs, Las Colinas, El Encín or Alenda from November 2nd, with the final qualifying rounds taking place a week later at Lumine, Tarragona.
