Wayne Cockerill and Paul Newcomen got the better of Katie Watkins and Steve Watkins on countback in the third round of the Overstone Park OOM Pairs Foursomes after both came in with the best score of 38 points.
Lee Devenny and Gareth Dimmer (37) finished third on countback from Sean O’Brien and Dan Kennedy, with Scott Sanders and Giuseppe Memoli, who took second behind Abi Kyle in the Junior April Stableford a few days later, on the same total.
High-handicappers dominated the prize giving in the Men’s April Medal as Steve Watkins secured first place with a net 60, followed by Neil Horner (64) and Keiran Wilson (67).
It was a different story in the Ladies April Medal as County first team player Baylie Pyke warmed up for her appearance in the Faldo Series event at Brocket Hall this week, by completing a gross (69) and net (68) double.
