Priors Hall

Tom O’Donnell and Kevin Bullimore were the duo to beat in the third week of the Winter League Doubles as they carded a winning tally of 28 points over 11 holes at Priors Hall.

County President Jack Marr and Nick Toseland finished runners-up on countback from four other pairings on 27.

A single point was also the margin of success in the fifth Seniors Winter Eclectic a few days later as John Rodden (24) secured first prize from Ian Hunter and Nigel Ougham.

Rushden

Steve Kempson had to be content with two runners-up prizes in the same weekend at Rushden as he found good form in separate events.

Competing in the Five Club Individual Stableford on the Saturday he missed out on countback to James Burrows after bagging 41 points.

Although he posted 42 points in partnership with Richard Wright in the American Greensomes 24 hours later, it still left him five adrift of the team led by David Mayes.

Overstone Park

Dan Akhurst’s net 66 sealed a one stroke victory in the Overstone Park February Medal as the high-handicapper nudged ahead of James Gardner, Roland Gray and Andy Lord.

In the Ladies February Medal, Suzanne Silvester (net 73) came out on top by two shots from Averil Sutcliffe.
