Kettering

Club Captain Bob Henbury, combined with Ladies Captain Sherry Stokes, Doug Kemp and Cathy Kemp to win the Kettering Mixed February Competition with a tally of 85 points.

Paul Atherton, Karen Atherton, Matt Tartaglia and Yvonne Tartaglia (84) claimed second place by three from Georgina Wade, Steve Wade, Pam Sayles and Lee Hughes.

Priors Hall

Scott Gordon and Darren Buchan were the pair to beat in the fifth week of the Winter League Doubles at Priors Hall as they bagged an impressive total of 30 points over 11 holes.

Runners-up Stephen McCabe and Liam Carr were one of six partnerships to card 28 points.

Countback was needed in the seventh Seniors Winter Eclectic competition after Anthony Cornwell and Ian Hunter both shot the leading mark of 25 points. The former gained the verdict.

Overstone Park

Andrew Smith parred the last four holes at Overstone Park to surge three points clear of the field in the Seniors February Yellow Tee Stableford. Stuart Mason (39) finished runner-up by one from Ron Cross.

Forty two points was also the winning score in the February Yellow Tee Stableford a few days earlier as high-handicapper Thomas Romain edged one in front of Roland Gray.

Wellingborough

Eli Farrington grabbed 25 points on the shortened course at Wellingborough to win the Ladies February Stableford by one from Carol Gibbs. Liz Waine, Claire Guest, Lema Townsend, Val Cook, Mel Ross and Libby Khaw all carded 22.

Rushden

Teresa Pack’s team were successful in Rushden’s Ladies Florida Scramble on countback from Jane Houghton’s side with a nine-hole score of 18 points. Yvonne Wilcox’s line-up finished third on 17.
