Hellidon Lakes

Rick Francis smashed an excellent score of 40 points to win the 14th round of the Hellidon Lakes Tigers Winter Merit League.

Philip Gray, who was successful in the previous round, finished runner-up on countback from Joe Kingston on 36.

Staverton Park

Greg Young and Craig Cotterill both came in with the leading individual score of 40 points on the opening day of Staverton Park’s February Weekend Stableford.

Giuseppe Forgione and Nathan Currell came closest to catching the overnight pacesetters before shooting the joint-best total of 39 points on the Sunday.

Collingtree Park

Jessica Barby maintained her good form over the winter as she won the latest Junior Nine-hole competition at Collingtree Park with 18 points. Edie Connolly was second on 15.

Barby was also successful in the team category as she combined with Noah McGimpsey (28) to triumph by four from Charlie Tear, Josh Walker and Connolly.

Kingsthorpe

John Nightingale was flying high after the Seniors Stableford Qualifier at Kingsthorpe as he earned a countback success from Neil Dunkley and Steve Behan with the leading score of 39 points.

Whittlebury Park

A gross birdie on the eighth hole at Whittlebury Park helped Carole Kane secure first prize in the eighth Ladies Nine-hole Winter Stableford as her tally of 21 points was two more than Danielle Edwards could manage.

Daventry

Two strokes was the margin of victory in the fifth Daventry Winter Medal as Kevin Everett (net 69) held off the challenge of Tom Green and David Musker, who claimed second and third respectively.
