Farthingstone

Eight gross pars and a birdie on the seventh hole were on the winning scorecard of Sarah Beattie in the February Stableford at Farthingstone as the 13-handicapper recorded a comfortable victory after bagging 41 points.

Karl Leason claimed the second prize by one point from Steve Roberts and Adam Smith, who both finished with 37.

Hellidon Lakes

Brian Jones clinched first place in the February Medal at Hellidon Lakes as a round of net 70 secured a two shot victory from fellow mid-handicappers David Tatton and Robert Upton.

The 12th round of the Tigers Winter Merit League witnessed the same margin of victory as Joe Kingston (38 points) grabbed the plaudits from runner-up Peter Bosworth.

Whittlebury Park

Forty five points was the impressive winning score in the eighth round of the Winter League at Whittlebury Park as Stephen Woods and Andrew Hallworth combined brilliantly to finish two clear of Peter Rowe and Gavin Saminathen.

Consistency was the key factor for Iain Lindsay in the latest 9 O’Clock Club Competition as the 15-handicapper bagged 40 points to lift the Cowan/Westgrath Trophy by four from Rob Morgan.

Carole Kane led the scoring in the first Ladies Nine-hole Stableford this month as she beat Deborah Dixon by three.

Staverton Park

Eight handicapper Barry Harding came out on top in Staverton Park’s February Medal after shooting a round of net 67. Paul Johnson and Russell Brown both finished two off the pace, with Nick Heard in fourth on 71.

Northampton

Twenty juniors welcomed new Northampton Junior Captains Jade Potter and Elliot Strickland at a very windy Junior Captains Drive in, followed by a Texas Scramble, at the Harlestone Club.
