Nine net birdies were on the winning scorecard of Andrew Nicholson and Ann Goodman in the Mixed Fourball Betterball at Overstone Park GC.

The Northampton duo bagged 44 points to finish two ahead of the home pairing of Phil Gordon and Suzanne Silvester, who lifted the Bouverie Bowl last month.

Fellow Overstone members Andrew McDonald and Kerry Hambleton secured third on countback from Wellingborough’s Rod Gibbs and Carol Gibbs on 40.
