Teenager Jacob Williams combined perfectly with his dad Steve in the HJ Amies Cups event as they grabbed the victory by half a stroke from two other pairings with a score of net 67.5.

Glenn Harris, Chris Billson, Steve Hammond and Charlie Higgins were successful in the Captain’s Drive-In competition on countback after posting a team score of 88 points.
On a day when George Khaw, Sally McKeown, Peter Gannon and Michael Hinds struck their first shots as the respective club captains for the next year, Stephen Munns, Richard Munns, Ashley Connolly and Mike Gilbrook finished runners-up.

Terry Malsher was the player to beat in the Seniors Stableford as his score of 41 points lifted him one clear of runner-up Stephen Wawra, with Richard Grove taking third on 39.

Rushden
Countback was needed in the Mixed Stableford after Mark Kendall and David Johnstone both came in with the leading tally of 40 points.
Kendall gained the verdict from Johnstone after a better finish to his round as Roger Kelly secured third place on 39.

Overstone Park
Steve Lemmon squeezed the best out of his game in the December Medal as the 14-handicapper took the plaudits with a net 66.
David Ayeyard birdied both par five’s on the outward stretch to take second by a single shot from fellow top division player Adam Sandle (68).
