Oundle were involved in a pulsating local derby at home to Peterborough Milton in Group A with both sides having to settle for a share of the spoils after a 8-8 draw.
Steve Holmes and Chris Dix (six holes) gave Oundle the ideal start, but Mark Doody and Sav Fasulo (five holes) quickly replied for Milton, only for Paul Kime and Paul Pateman to push the hosts further clear with a two hole win.
With games three and five being halved, Peterborough salvaged a draw thanks to a three-hole success for Daniel Wisbey and Sanjay Rajani in the final match.
In Group C, Northampton showed their ruthless streak at home to Rushden as a big win from Gary Slinn and Ian Townsend in the opening tie sent them on their way to a 18-0 whitewash victory.
Delapre Park completed a brilliant victory in Group D at Cherwell Edge as they overcame an early six-point deficit to triumph 13-11.
Jon Barnell and Jamie Cordiner were successful for the visitors in game two, but it was the wins from Chris Chapman and Tony Vella (two holes), Wayne Lloyd and Martin Cordiner (four holes) and Dale Walker and Paul Fletcher (two holes) that proved decisive.
