NGL Scratch League

Division 1
Northants County retained their Scratch League crown in ruthless fashion away to Northampton as they recorded a collection of huge wins in a 6½-1½ success.
Joshua Pritchett got the team going with a 7&6 victory in the opening tie, Harry Oddy and Corey Neville secured 8&7 wins in game three and four, before Michael Farr added another away point on the 14th hole.
Although Northampton took the second tie on the last hole, Tom Bullough confirmed the away win with a half, before Joe Quinn and Charlie Salter wrapped up another emphatic win for the reigning champions.
Staverton Park’s ambition of catching the leaders disappeared with a 6½-1½ defeat at Wellingborough, whose points came from Adam Sherlock, Richard Brown, Theo Brown, Mark Davis, Jon Harris and Tiger Adams, while Chris Howes bagged a half.
Peterborough Milton’s hopes of staying in the top flight hang by a thread after they lost by a single point at home to Wellingborough 24 hours earlier.
Milton now need to win both the remaining away matches at County and Wellingborough and hope that Northampton don’t get anything from their last outing at home to Staverton.

Division 2
Overstone Park made it five wins out of five matches in their promotion-winning campaign as they edged a tight away contest with Kingsthorpe by a single point.
The second division champions did all their best work early on as points from Andrew MacDonald, Phil Gardner, Tom Nickleson and Jamie Newton, plus a half from Mark Stockdale, sealed victory.
