Northants County bounced back from their shock home defeat to Kingsthorpe the previous week in the best possible way as they recorded a 6-2 victory at Northampton.
With Ben Jones, Matt Bird and Michael Farr returning to the starting line-up after missing the one-point defeat to Kingsthorpe, the visitors displayed their ruthless streak as they won three points on the 17th hole and two more down the last.
Northampton returned to winning ways just 24 hours later as they edged a tight home clash with Peterborough Milton by the scoreline 4½-3½.
Dean Roberts, Brad Jarvis, Lawrence Ryan and Alex Izzard claimed home points, while Graham Turby picked up a vital half.
