European Tour

Ryan Evans is playing for the second successive week on the European Tour as he tees off in the South African Open on Thursday at Randpark GC in Johannesburg.
The Wellingborough pro, who will be based mainly on the Challenge Tour in the 2018-19 season, will look to build on a positive display in the Australian PGA Championship as he made the cut at Royal Pines Resort in Queensland.
Evans compiled an opening round of level par 72, before picking up five shots, including a vital birdie on the closing hole, in a second round 72 to guarantee some weekend golf.
Despite posting five more birdies on the third day, a lack of consistency proved costly as he finished in 64th position with two scores of 74.
