Whittlebury Park

Jason Robinson was a model of consistency in the Whittlebury Park January Stableford as he carded a dozen pars and a birdie on the 17th hole to clinch a countback win from Richard Hunt on 41 points.

Phil Webster was one four players a further point off the pace, while Tracey Heavey claimed the ladies prize by three from Tracey Mann and Christine Coles after compiling 17 points over nine holes.

Staverton Park

Mid-handicapper Scott Creaney snatched first prize in Staverton Park’s January Weekend Stableford as he bagged 39 points on the Sunday to nudge one clear of overnight leader Peter Trueman.

Clive Jennings, Chris Pendlebury, Bill Marks, Matt Walker and Martin Lary all finished two points further off the pace.

Kingsthorpe

Colin Stevens came out on top in the Seniors Stableford Qualifier at Kingsthorpe as his score of 39 points lifted him one ahead of Tony Atherley, Bob Wright and Paul Botterill.

Wright also just missed out on the main prize in the eighth week of the Winter League a few days earlier as he joined forces with Bob Lees to shoot the equal best total of 41 points. It wasn’t quite enough however as Dale Betts and his partner claimed the victory on countback.

Hellidon Lakes

A marvellous run of birdie-par-birdie-eagle in the middle of the front nine at Hellidon Lakes helped Gavin Aris shoot a brilliant winning round of 39 points in the January Stableford.

Ted Craig and Matt Riley came closest to snatching the top prize but had to settle for second and third positions with 37 and 36 points respectively.
